Koa
Therapy Dog

Aloha, I am Koa. I moved here from San Antonio when Dr. Deb adopted me. My name means “Warrior” in Hawaiian. My name comes from a rare form of wood that only grows on the Hawaiian Islands. My brindle coat looks like Koa wood, and I am a warrior at heart. I have found my fur-ever home, my calling in life (helping others), and I am busy learning my therapy dog petiquette. I am here to reassure you that we can find our place in life, we are loved by the right people, and we have something priceless to share with others. I am working my way through the certifications necessary to be a full-fledged therapist of the canine persuasion. I am also looking forward to my upcoming certification as a Search and Rescue dog.
